Our Family

 Kami comes from a family of 6 girls!  Yes 6!  And no, there are no boys.  All of our names begin with K.

K1 is a hard-working mother and teacher. She and her husband L are a blended family with 4 boys. She is an elementary school teacher, and is very athletic. B wants to be a fireman when he grows up.  They enjoy fishing, hiking, watching movies and playing video games together.

K3 is a Surgical Technician and C is an Auto Body Worker.  They just had their first child, a girl!  They love the outdoors.  They enjoy camping, dirt biking, and snowmobiling.  K3 is also a talented artist and in her spare time she restores antique furniture, writes, and assists our mom at her interior design shop.

 K4 is a hard working single mother.  She works at a hospital and is a talented photographer.  She also enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.

She is a fifth grade elementary school  teacher.  She is a talented writer and has a beautiful singing voice.  She is an amazing cook and bakes the best cookies ever! C owns his own ski shop. He is an avid fisherman. They spend a lot of time out doors doing things like fishing, and stand up paddle boarding.

K6 is a homemaker and K works in the oil fields.  They LOVE animals of all kinds, and have a shih tzu, a boxer, a fainting goat, two pigmy goats, and a hog.  K6 is also a talented dancer. She coaches the high school dance team, and helps out at our cousins dance studio. They enjoy hiking, river rafting, and rock climbing.

 We have two sets of loving parents!

Dad is a contractor and small business owner and H is a nurse.  They like to go antique hunting and browse garage sales.  H is VERY crafty.  She makes gorgeous quilts and other decorations.  They love dogs.

Ma is an interior designer and K recently retired (and is loving it). They love to travel, golf, and ski.  K loves roller coasters and makes his own wine.  On top of being a talented interior designer, Ma is also a very talented artist, cake decorator, and cook among other things.  She paints and draws and can pretty much do anything that is artistic.

We also have a wonderful Gram                                                  

 

Gram loves to read and is always learning something new.  She is very talented at sewing, cooking, embroidery, and story telling.  She made all six of us matching dresses until I was 13!


As a family we like to:

Go on vacations together (especially Disneyland, Jackson Hole, WY, Yellowstone, and Sumpter, ID)

Go on motorcycle rides with Grandad (love feeling the wind in my hair!)

Cook and Bake

Especially these cookies.  They are the BEST sugar cookies EVER!

Throw costume parties (this one was CLUE! themed)

We also have a VERY large extended family who we are blessed to live close to.  We usually have a family reunion every year.  Our family is very competitive and the reunions always have a theme that includes games that we can compete at.  The last reunion was Olympic themed.  Our immediate family represented Jamaica.

Our family (including our extended family) is also very talented at storytelling and very involved in competitive dance.  We are all very athletic and play basketball, softball/baseball, golf, track, cross country, and volleyball as well as cheerleading and dance.  We also almost all love animals, especially dogs and horses.

Allan comes from a family of 9 children!  7 boys and 2 girls, the girls are 11 years apart so it's a very boy family.

B is the oldest brother.  He and his wife C have 4 boys (from L to R) A, B, E, and T.

They love to go to Disneyland and Disney World.  C is the queen of getting good deals and is always winning contests and prizes.  C is a wife and mother, and B is a salesman.  The boys are avid BYU fans and love to play all kinds of sports.

P is the first of the 2 girls.  R is studying to be a doctor and P is a wife and mother.  She is also a talented photographer and loves dogs and horses.  H is a cute happy little boy who is obsessed with brooms.  Go figure.

A1 is the second boy in the family.   He is a lawyer and F is a wife and mother.  Their girls love clothes, playing outside, and going on daddy-daughter dates.  Their son H is adorable and insists on being big just like his sisters. F is very crafty and is always creating something cute and useful.

Allan is the next sibling.  I sure love him!

M1 is a mathematician and writes music.  H is a wife and mother and a talented photographer.  They are very active and like to play racquetball and other sports.  They are both musically talented: M plays the piano and H plays the flute.  Their son J is just as active as they are!

D and wife J

 D is the 5th of the boys.  He enjoys working with computers and is studying Business in school.  He likes to go bowling and dancing and also enjoys writing. J is a home-maker and is very talented at arts and crafts.

SG is the second girl.  She LOVES horses and dogs.  She loves to talk to people and is a great conversationalist.  She is a talented Equestrian rider and also enjoys making videos of her family and styling hair.  She's the one I always go to when my hair needs a trim. She is currently serving an LDS Mission in the Philippines.

M2 is the 6th boy.  He is a talented basketball player.  He loves all things basketball and also plays the drums.  He is currently serving an LDS Mission in Oregon.

SB is the 7th boy and the 9th sibling.  (He's the one in the blue)

He is a senior in high school and just turned in his application to serve an LDS mission.  He is friends with everybody he meets.  He is also a talented pianist and basketball player.

They have 2 loving parents:

Dad (aka: Grandpa) and Mom (aka: Grandma)

Dad is an inventory specialist for a large mining company, and Mom is a wife and mother. They are fantastic gardeners and always have the best flower gardens in the neighborhood. Dad is also a great car mechanic and keeps all of his kids' cars running. Mom loves to do family history research, and we are enjoying the histories she has put together about our ancestors.

Thanks for getting to know our families a little.  We love them!  We think we have the BEST families in the world, and we are so grateful for all of their love and support.
